3” STEREOSCOPIC FPV DRONE:
This is a smaller version of my 5” stereoscopic FPV drone.
Both have roughly the same capabilities, including my custom camera solution.
However, this one is smaller and carries a 7-watt headlight instead of a camera. This makes it excellent for night flying. The smaller size also means it is much more robust than the larger drone. On impact, the levers formed by the arms that transmit the impact force to the chassis are smaller. However, I chose a frame with arms made of the same thickness carbon fiber, leading to a massive increase in strength.
Drone Construction:
This drone integrates off-the-shelf components with 3d printed mounts for the antennas and camera system.
